Do you long to turn down the volume and calm the chaos?

You are not alone. If you’ve found yourself wishing the world would settle down, be quiet, or hit pause for just a few minutes, you’re in good company. This past year has brought more instability and upheaval than any of us ever anticipated. We’re dealing with extraordinary levels of:

Living with so much instability is exhausting. It makes accomplishing our goals so much more difficult. It stresses our relationships and strains our health. Even thinking about making plans seems overwhelming.

With so much chaos outside, having the capacity to anchor ourselves in our own inner peace is more important than ever.

If you tuned out the noise, what could you achieve?

You know there are things you want to do with your life—talents to cultivate—contributions to make. But so often these goals get left behind in the whirlwind of everyday life.

Maybe your mind is always racing.

You have a million considerations. You get frustrated because you aren’t living up to your potential. If only you were more organized or more disciplined.

Maybe if you were smarter or…

“Could you please shut up?”

I remember the moment, about 25 years ago, when I first became aware of the voice of my internal critic. I was in the middle of my doctorate program and also working. Both my kids were in school, my husband was very busy, life was happening, and it was extremely chaotic.

One morning after dropping the kids off at school, I suddenly became aware of this voice in my head. It was incessant.

It was either spewing judgement or spiraling down into worry wormholes or engaged in nonsensical chatter that had no purpose but to keep me off balance, this internal voice never stopped.

It was toxic and kept me at a constant boiling point. I desperately needed some peace and quiet!

“SHUT UP!” I screamed.

In that moment, I knew that I was going to need some tools to help me find the peace and quiet I longed for.

In my search for peace, I discovered something that changed everything.

The day I became aware of the voice of my inner critic was the day I began to seriously look at meditation. I explored many different practices: Using words in recited verses as a point of focus, Shambala meditation, mindfulness—the list goes on.

All of these experiences deepened my practice and self-awareness, but something was missing. None of these techniques brought me a lasting sense of peace and quiet. However, as I persevered, and began to let my body be my guide, I discovered the stillness I’d been seeking at my core.

I learned that finding peace is actually as simple as it is miraculous.

Imagine what it would feel like to be able to...

All of this is available through the practices in my new course, Peace. Power. Presence.

Peace. Power. Presence. is a gentle, empowering, 10-part guided meditation course designed to help you experience real peace, learn how to tap into it whenever you want, and become the powerful presence you were meant to be.

Peace. Power. Presence. will teach you how to...

Think mindfulness and meditation don’t work for you?

Peace. Power. Presence. will change your mind.

Maybe you’ve tried meditation in the past and it didn’t work. At least you thought it didn’t work for you. Maybe you couldn’t empty your mind or master your racing thoughts. As a result, maybe meditation seems like just one more thing you’re not good at.

Well, here’s something no one ever tells us:

Finding peace isn’t about being good enough, smart enough, or disciplined enough.

We all expect that meditation is going to enable us to achieve a blissful, negativity-free state. But emotions like anger, fear, sadness, jealousy, and shame don’t simply disappear.

And neither does our inner critic. It’s easy to become frustrated and disillusioned. And then waste our energy trying to hide or suppress these emotions and avoiding situations that might trigger them. In this scenario, it’s miraculous that we manage to accomplish anything!

I Have a Question for You...

What if you didn’t actually fail at meditation? What if you just stopped too soon?

Peace. Power. Presence. is a deceptively simple practice that will take you beyond traditional mindfulness and meditation techniques. Through gentle, guided meditations:

How It Works

Over the course of three months, we will meet weekly in group video calls.

In each session, we’ll explore our rejected/suppressed emotions—Anger, Fear, Jealousy, Shame, and Grief. You’ll learn to access the still, quiet center within yourself and embody the role of the Observer. As your familiarity with the Observer stance grows, we will begin working with each “negative” emotion. One-by-one, we’ll learn to acknowledge and honor each one, and gently welcome it back into our hearts. After reclaiming and reintegrating all of these rejected parts of ourselves, we will explore ways to cultivate joy and step into a new life of your own conscious creation.

And so much more...

About Sree

I am a transformational life coach and public health researcher. I created my coaching business, Freeing Ourselves, to help my clients stop the continuous questioning of their value, quiet the unrelenting critic in their minds, and help them step into the highest and best versions of themselves.

I was raised in a Hindu Nair family by a devout father and an agnostic mother. At the age of 19, I lost my mother in a plane crash. I also lost my sense of home, my single steadfast source of emotional support, and my trust in life. In the months following, I struggled to decide if I believed in God or not. Finally, exhausted from the back-and-forth debate in my mind, I decided to just try living as if I were a believer. Today, that small, tentative step toward faith has blossomed into a steadfast knowing and unshakable connection.

Since that devastating night, on Dec 31st, 1977, when I lost my Mom, I have experienced life in all of its messy glory. The faith that began as tiny seed has served me well. I’ve come through the devastation of having loved ones fall prey to addictions, suicide, and even the loss of a child.

Over the years, I’ve lived in 30 different homes spanning three continents. I’ve raised two wonderfully successful children and earned three master’s degrees as well as a doctoral degree.

Despite all of my achievements, I’ve been a poster child for Imposter Syndrome. I know how it feels to worry that I am not good enough, compare myself to my peers, dismiss my accomplishments as they were flukes, and spiral into that dark hole of inaction or, more often, ineffective action. I understand how devastating and stunting this constant questioning is.

I have discovered that the questioning comes from rejecting parts of ourselves. I’m reminded of the saying, “As within, so without.” As we decide parts of us are not worth honoring and loving, we see that reflected in our experience of life. We tell ourselves we are unworthy and lo and behold, we experience situations in which we feel like imposters! The answer to this dilemma is to learn to love all parts of us fully. To be a fully integrated human being who is completely at ease in his / her own skin. I created Peace. Power. Presence to answer that need and empower my clients to begin fulling living their purpose.

I believe from the bottom of my heart that my purpose in life is to help you drop these questions of value and worth and stand tall in the knowledge that you are invaluable.

My lived experience has given me the ability to be gentle and supportive. I am here to hold the space as you work through your distress and emerge on the other side with a calm, powerful belief in yourself.

I generally find it hard to meditate, but Sree’s soothing, gentle voice has eased me into my body and into a quieter place in myself. Her instructions are short, straightforward, and easy to implement. My sleep has improved, and even during the day, I can revisit that quiet space by bringing her words and voice to mind. Thank you for a real gift.

In most traditional mindfulness and meditation practices, the ultimate goals is to find peace. For a short while, many people do find that lovely place of quiet and stillness only to become disillusioned when their negative emotions reemerge. What they don’t realize is that having these thoughts and emotions is simply a function of being human.

With Peace. Power. Presence., instead of beating ourselves up and giving in, we look at how to embrace those so-called negative emotions, learn from them, reintegrate them into the wholeness of our being – and in so doing discover the peace that comes from accepting and loving ourselves. From there we will have the presence of mind and power to take the most appropriate and effective actions on the path to our deepest goals.

We’re in a time of so much uncertainty and unrest. So many of us are hyper aroused, not sleeping well, and under stress that affects us physically and mentally, takes a toll on our relationships, and negatively influences our capacity to make an impact in the world.

But there’s also a gift. Embedded within this struggle is a loving challenge, an opportunity to reconsider our thoughts and feelings and reinvent our futures based on our true life’s passion instead of on our unexamined fears.

Why wouldn’t you want that now, when the alternative is a never-ending spiral of frustration and futility filled with unhealthy distractions that keep you separated from your own deeper wisdom?

Haven’t you already tolerated enough of that?

While attending our group calls in real time is ideal for sharing the teaching and learning within the circle of our community, the calls will be recorded so that you won’t miss anything. Recordings of the individual guided meditations will also be available to support your practice between calls.

If you find yourself stuck at any point during the course, you’ll have access to a supportive community in our dedicated Facebook group where you can discuss your questions, share your experiences, and explore a variety of answers.

Thank you for being on this journey of self-transformation.

Very few people have the presence or the courage to take on this kind of personal exploration. By shining the light of compassion into those places you try to keep hidden, I know you will find more love and acceptance for yourself. And in giving these gifts to yourself, you amplify the love and acceptance that exists in the world. Thank you for being someone who is dedicated to using your life to make a positive difference for yourself, your family, your communities, and the world.

I would be honored to support you on your journey.
